Introduction
Vesting schedules that you use frequently can be saved as a predefined schedule. Selecting from a predefined vesting schedule will expedite both processes by prepopulating the vesting details for you and ensure consistency among grants using that vesting schedule.
Predefined vesting schedules can accommodate a vesting period of one to five years, or for a custom number of months. Note that predefined vesting schedules can only be time based.
Adding new vesting schedules
- Navigate to the Administration Workspace (either click the Gear icon in the bottom left corner, or click on Company Workspace and select Administration Workspace).
- Under Equity Settings, click Vesting Schedules.
- Click Add Vesting Schedule.
- Enter the details of the vesting schedule and click Save to continue.
- Click Add Vesting Schedule and repeat the previous step to add any additional vesting schedules.
Using predefined vesting schedules
The saved vesting schedules will now be available when running the Grant Shares workflows; For Type of Vesting select Predefined Vesting Schedule. Your saved vesting schedules will be available in the dropdown menu.
Any generated documents crated during the Grant Shares workflows with a predefined vesting schedule will display in a similar manner as a vesting schedule added manually. For example, this is the language in a Stock Restriction Agreement using a predefined vesting schedule:
Editing or removing saved vesting schedules
- Go to Administration Workspace > Equity > Vesting Schedules.
- Your predefined vesting schedules will display with details of the schedule.
- Click the Edit icon to make any changes to a schedule. Note that this is only a forward-facing change; no changes will be made to any previously executed securities.
- To remove a schedule, click the X button.
