The workflows in the platform guide you through a step-by-step process of gathering information and then generate legal documents or update the system (cap table, etc.) based on that input.
In many generative workflows, you will be asked to upload documentation to support the function of the workflow. Workflows done in an Upload mode will require you to add documentation to support the workflow. All of the documents that are uploaded or generated in a workflow are stored in the secure Data Room.
When a workflow prompts you to upload a document, you will have some or all of the options listed below, depending on the workflow you are running.
- Select Document from Data Room: If the document you need to add to a workflow has already been uploaded to the Data Room, this option will allow you find the uploaded document. When you select the appropriate document, that document will be linked to the workflow you are currently running.
- Upload from Computer: Select the file directly from your computer.
- Waive Document: In certain workflows, this option is available if you do not and will not have the requested document.
- Defer Document: In certain workflows, this option is available if the document exists, but you do not currently have the document available. This option will create a placeholder in the Data Room and you will have the ability to upload the document at a later date.
Clicking on the Document Options button will show the available actions.
